The Aiken Standard’s Home and Garden Show returns for its 12th year Aug. 18 and 19 to the Western Carolina Fairgrounds.

“This is just a good opportunity for anybody to come out, whether they want to plant some fall flowers or if they want to have a bathroom remodel,” said Diane Daniell, advertising sales manager for the Aiken Standard. “We will have people on hand there that they can talk to.”

The show will feature food trucks and a variety of vendors. It will also feature many exhibitors.

This year the $1 admission fee will be optional, but all proceeds from admission fees will go to Children’s Place.

The vendors setting up shop at the show include Little Things of Wood, Mary Kay with Delores Martin, Tupperware with Shirley Pinkston, Avon by Julie, Pop of Color, Ms. Bea’s Pickling Vegetable, Town Creek Boutique, Mary’s Bling and Pampered Chef with Cassie Dawson.

Exhibitors such as Brighter Solutions, Cabinet Masters, Aiken Pest, Leaf Filters, Budget Blinds, Decorative Concrete, Bath Fitter, Cutco Cutlery, Certa Pro Painters, Bartlet Tree, Sparkle and Spray Wash, and Southern Industries will be at the event as well.

“This event in the past has been very well received by the community,” Daniell said.

On Aug. 18, the Home and Garden Show will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Aug. 19 it will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A drawing for a $500 Visa gift card will be held Saturday.

Vendors are still being added. For more information or to become a vendor, call Kaitlin Hodson at 803-644-2326.
